The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has reacted to the call for the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari. While reacting to President Buhari’s claim that he thought he was 74 years old until he was told he was 75, the main opposition party had advised him to turn in his resignation. The PDP also described the statement as a national disgrace, while calling on INEC to revisit Buhari’s files. Responding to the PDP’s statement, the National Chairman of the APC, chief John Odigie-Oyegun said the PDP lacked the morality to demand Buhari’s resignation. Vice President Yemi Osibajo dispensing petrol to the admiration of motorists and officials at a filling station in Lagos, on Sunday, December 24, 2017. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has visited fuel depots in Lagos to monitor the loading of trucks and to ensure a steady supply of petrol to designated filling stations. The Vice President went around the city of Lagos where he also interacted with people assuring them on government’s quick intervention to solve the fuel scarcity. Osinbajo, had, on Sunday evening, made a surprise visit to two filling stations, Oando by Elegushi and Heyden Petroleum by VGC on the Lagos Island. After weeks of hide-and-seek, popstar, Anidugbe Daniel, aka Kiss Daniel, has finally been served court papers by his estranged label, G-Worldwide Entertainment. A Federal High Court in Lagos had on November 30, granted an order that all parties should maintain the status quo pertaining to the contract that was initially signed in 2013. However, Daniel had allegedly refused to personally receive the court papers for some weeks, which led the court to grant an order of substituted service, that the papers should be pasted on the gate of his house in Lekki Phase Two, Ajah-Lekki, Lagos, and in a national daily. According to the label, the court papers were pasted on Daniel’s gate on Friday, December 15, 2017. The Lagos State Police command have now explained the reason behind the arrest of Praiz. According to the Lagos State Police Command Spokesperson, SP Chike Oti who spoke to sources, Praiz was driving along the Lekki-Epe expressway at top speed and this caused police officers to stop him with the aim of conducting a stop and search. However, as soon as he stopped and they began questioning him, the police claim he immediately brought out his camera and began filming them while shouting at the top of his voice at them. Oti said that at this point, police officers asked him to follow them to the station to explain what led to his outburst. Oti further revealed that it was police officers and not SARS officials who took Praiz to the station. The police spokesperson says the issue has been resolved and Praiz has been released. The United States was on Thursday, left stranded by many of its allies over agitations which followed  President Donald Trump’s  decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israeli capital. The United Nations General Assembly had put to vote a resolution calling for the U.S. to drop its recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. The results revealed a total of 128 countries voted against Trump’s decision, 8 supported the decision of the US President, while 35 countries abstained from voting.
